Introducing the deeper, experimental side of Terrain Records. New Zealand based RQ presents his own take on underground electronic music. It's near impossible to pigeon hole his style. An eclectic mix of audible influences from chill out, liquid jungle, garage, trip-hop and ambience, you'll find it all here, but one step further. This fits perfectly into the varied sound of Terrain Records.

RQ's sound is deep and melodic with thick warm subs, organic beats and powerful soundscapes for your mind, body and soul. This album is to be experienced as a whole. Let all 14 tracks take you on a musical journey.

Benton - Having fun (Listen/Buy)
Arc 88 - 2 Many (Listen/Buy)

Started in 2005 as collaboration with a friend, Terrain records had releases from Manchester artists S.N.O & Omen, with remixes from a young Skream, and N-Type. The label lay dormant for 5 years, but for 2011 N-Type has decided to relaunch the label, focusing on 140bpm jungle & hardcore influenced dubstep. For the 3rd release on the label, N-type presents two young artists with a love for the oldskool hardcore junglist sound Benton and ARC 88. A side ‘Having Fun’ by Benton is reminiscent of early Jungle, with rolling amen breaks, thunderous Reece bassline, and classic pitched up female vocals. This tune has been a staple in N-types dubplate collection AA Side ‘2 Many’ by ARC 88 is a dancehall killah! 140bpm jungle rinser, featuring ragga vocals and a euphoric breakdown. Featured on the new Wheel & Deal Records album mix by DJ N-Type, this track is a standard reload. Both tracks are currently being battered by N-Type, Skream, Dismantle, Walsh, Bluesy, Chefal and Cluekid to name a few.

Broke (Buy/Listen)
Times up (Buy/Listen)

Following on from his massive cross genre hit 'Computation' Dismantle hit's us again with his first release on Terrain, N-Types jungle influenced Dubstep label. Both tracks have been kept very exclusive, to keep the dubplate vibe alive.
Broke: Deep dark and dangerous, rolling breaks and tribal percussion alongside jungalist pads and thunderous bass. This one tears down the dance in the best way possible. Dark, but energetic, a staple in N-Type set.

Into the Jungle (Listen/Buy)
Snoting (Listen/Buy)
Pluto (Listen/Buy)
Extraterrestrial (Listen/Buy

Cluekid, part of the croydon fraternity, who emerged in the early days of Dubstep. With a back catalog of successful releases and collaborations with the likes of Skream and Cotti, Cluekid has his debut release on N-Types Terrain records.
Into the Jungle: Fits perfectly into the Terrain sound. Jungle and tribal influences rain through, with congo drums rolling over a thunderous sub line. This is bound to have all old school and future junglist steppers skanking out warehouse style. This is reminiscent of the tribal Dubstep Hatcha championed in 2001. With continuous support from Mistajam, N-Type, Caspa, Surge and Walsh.
